  • Cape Cod Canal Railroad Bridge

    The Cape Cod Canal Railroad Bridge is a vertical lift bridge which carries railroad traffic across the Cape Cod Canal, Connecting Cape Cod with the mainland. This traffic includes the Massachusetts Coastal Railroad, Cape Cod Central Railroad seasonal tours, and CapeFLYER connecting Boston and Hyannis. It is the second longest lift bridge in the Unites States.

  • Bourne Scenic Park

    Founded in 1951 as a site for picnicking and camping, this park now offers over 465 campsites. With views of the Bourne Bridge, this park also hosts summer concert series.

  • Ellisville Harbor State Park

    Ellisville Harbor is a unique coastal property, including an 18th century farmstead, beachfront, salt marsh, rolling meadows, and red pine forest. It's also one of the most scenic spots on the South Shore coastline, where you can see small fishing boats, a barrier beach, sphagnum bog, forested upland and open meadows. Recreation activities include walking, bird watching, beach combing and sightseeing. In fall and winter, harbor seals can often be seen just off-shore.

  • Shawme Crowell State Forest

    This quiet year-round campground at the beginning of Cape Cod has over 285 sites in a wooded setting. More than 15 miles of roads and trails provide hiking and equestrian access to over 700 acres of pitch pine and scrub oak landscape.

  • Scusset Beach State Reservation

    Scusset Beach is located on Cape Cod Bay at the east end of the Cape Cod Canal. It is a popular swimming and camping area. For salt water anglers, the area offers a popular fish pier, a 3000 breakwater and 1.5 miles of frontage along the canal.
    A picnic area and bicycling along the canal are also available. The Reservation is also a popular spot for watching the variety of boats and ships passing through the canal.
